Hamilton County Prosecutor announces indictment in the Price Hill Halloween shooting

Hamilton County Prosecutor Joseph Deters today announced the indictment of an 18- year-old involved in the Halloween shooting of 84-year-old Charles Iles.

Otis Clark, of Price Hill, was indicted on one count of Attempted Murder, two counts of Aggravated Burglary and two counts of Felonious Assault.

On October 31, 2005, Clark and two other juvenile defendants posed as trick-or-treaters. As the victim’s wife, Ada, opened the front door, the defendants forced their way into the Price Hill home around 9pm. Iles was shot twice in his chest as he tried to call 911.

Clark is being held at the Hamilton County Justice Center on a $1.5 million dollar bond. Defendants Deondre Berryman, 16, and Terrence Davis, 17, will be in juvenile court on November 17, 2005. The Prosecutor’s office has asked that they be bound over and tried as adults.

Prosecutor Deters said today, “We will continue to identify violent offenders in Hamilton County and send them to prison as long as the law allows.”
