Hamilton County Prosecutor Joseph T. Deters annouces indicment in death of Hailey Hall

Today, Hamilton County Prosecutor Joseph T. Deters announced the indictment of William Arnold (DOB 8/30/81) for the March 14th death of 16-year-old Hailey Hall.  Arnold is charged with 2 counts of Murder (Special Felony), 1 count of Felonious Assault (Felony 2), 1 count of Kidnapping (Felony 1), 1 count of Abduction (Felony 3) and 1 count of Tampering with Evidence (Felony 3).  If convicted of all charges, he faces the possibility of life in prison.

Arnold is currently incarcerated in the Hamilton County Justice Center on charges of Trafficking in Heroin and Possession of Heroin in Case B 1601179.

On February 29th, Hailey was leaving the Inner Circle Nightclub in Linwood when she was severely beaten by Arnold. She was transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center and their intensive care unit. She was in a coma due to the extensive injuries she suffered including bleeding and swelling of the brain, a lacerated liver, collapsed lungs and numerous bruises and contusions over her entire body.

Hailey died on March 14th.  The Hamilton County Coroner ruled her death a homicide as the result of blunt force trauma.

Prosecutor Deters commented, “What Arnold did to this young girl was horrific.  I know that some people have referred to Arnold as Hailey’s “boyfriend” but nobody does this to someone whom they care about.  His actions were absolutely pathetic and disgusting.”
