Hamilton County Prosecutor Joseph T. Deters announces 5 count rape indictment against Tevin Henderson

Today, Hamilton County Prosecutor Joseph T. Deters announced a 5 count rape indictment against Tevin Henderson (DOB 7/28/98).  All five counts are felonies of the first degree and, if convicted of all counts, he faces the possibility of 55 years in prison. If convicted, he would also have to register as a sex offender for life.

Henderson is charged with raping the 12-year-old victim multiple times during 2019.   Henderson and the child were family acquaintances and the rapes happened at a residence in Winton Terrace. The child disclosed to a trusted adult when she realized that she was pregnant.

Hamilton County Prosecutor Joseph T. Deters commented, “There are no words to describe this kind of horrible crime against a child.  We have yet to coin a word in the English language adequate to describe someone who sexually abuses a child and causes a 12-year-old to give birth.

On a personal note, I’d like to say the following.  These types of cases are much too prevalent in our area and nationwide.

It makes me sick to my stomach.  To prey upon a young girl sexually, impregnate her, and think nothing of it is disgusting and should be totally unacceptable to everyone who hears of these acts.

We will work diligently to remove him from the streets of Hamilton County for as long as possible.”
