Hamilton County Prosecutor Joseph T. Deters announces indictment in case involving Princeton school security monitor

Today, Hamilton County Prosecutor Joseph T. Deters announced the indictment of Lamont Baldwin (DOB 6/30/65) for 11 counts of Gross Sexual Imposition (Felony 3) and 1 count of Gross Sexual Imposition (Felony 4). If convicted of all charges, he faces the possibility of over 50 years in prison.

Baldwin was employed as a security monitor for the Princeton School District and assigned to the middle and high school from April 15, 1996 until termination on November 18, 2019. For a short period of time during his employment at Princeton, he served as a middle school wrestling coach.  His security monitoring job responsibilities included monitoring the hallways, cafeteria and arrival and dismissal of students. He would also be expected to assist with other student matters such as breaking up fights if needed.

Baldwin is now charged with sexual assaults on 4 different male students that occurred both in the school and off school grounds. Today’s indictment is for victims who were age 13 or younger.

The Sharonville Police Department began an investigation in late 2019 after students reported incidents to school officials.

Prosecutor Deters commented, “These cases are disturbing and I will never understand people who sexually abuse children.

“Parents expect that school is a safe place and school employees betraying that trust hurt not just the victim but the entire family, school system and community. We take these cases seriously and want to make sure that dangerous people are not in contact with our children.”
