Today, Hamilton County Prosecutor Joseph T. Deters announced that his investigation into the April 10th death of Kyle Plush is now concluded and no action will be taken by the Hamilton County Prosecutor’s Office.
Mr. Deters commented, “My sympathy goes out to the Plush family on the loss of Kyle. It is impossible to imagine the pain that they must feel over his untimely death.
My office has thoroughly reviewed the Cincinnati Police Department and Hamilton County Sheriff’s investigation into this incident. Additionally, we reviewed the 21CP Solutions ‘Report on the Response of the Cincinnati Police Department into the Death of Kyle Plush’ and the MissionCriticalPartners ‘Incident Report Review of the Cincinnati Emergency Communications Center’s Response to Kyle Plush 911 calls.’ After a review of all of these documents, no criminal charges are appropriate and, therefore, none will be filed.
I want to thank the city of Cincinnati for their cooperation in this investigation and credit them with taking necessary steps to improve the 911 system so that something like this will, hopefully, never happen again.”
