Today, Hamilton County Prosecutor Joseph T. Deters announced two indictments against Adonas Hicks (DOB 7/3/90) for the rape of three individuals.  Hicks is now charged with 6 counts of Rape (Felony 1), 1 count of Aggravated Robbery (Felony 1), 1 count of Felonious Assault (Felony 2), and 1 count of Kidnapping (Felony 1).  If convicted of all charges, he faces the possibility of life in prison.

Hicks is currently in the Hamilton County Justice Center being held on bond, pending trial.

Hicks is charged with victimizing three individuals.  The first victim was attacked on September 7, 2020 on a street in Mt. Airy as she was walking home.  Hicks approached her and took her to an isolated area and raped her at gunpoint.  On November 8, 2020, also in Mt. Airy, Hicks raped his second victim at gunpoint.  On November 13, 2020, Hicks raped his third victim at gunpoint in Westwood.  His second and third victims were known to him through the internet.  Both of the victims from November were transgender individuals who Hicks may have hoped would not report these crimes to the police.

Hamilton County Prosecutor Joseph T. Deters commented, “The circumstances and victims involved in these cases are varied, but Hicks’ M.O. remained the same.  Each time, these victims were raped at gunpoint while in a vulnerable situation.  We are concerned that more victims may be out there, and ask anyone who may have been victimized by Hicks to contact Cincinnati Police Department, Personal Crimes Detective Dana Jones at 513-352-6474.”
