The defendant is an extremely dangerous felon. He was responsible for a series of brutal rapes and aggravated burglaries in apartment complexes. The defendant’s method for committing these crimes were virtually the same. He would stalk a woman within the apartment and when he believed her to be sleeping, he would gain entrance through a sliding glass door to the apartment. Once inside the apartment, the defendant would typically attack his victim while they were sleeping, tie them up, hold a knife to their throat, and then rape them. After the rape, he would then take valuable items from the apartment including jewelry and money.
Due to the fact that there were many victims and that these women were unforgettably terrorized by this defendant, this office strongly opposes any type of release and we recommend that he serve a substantial portion of his maximum 50 year sentence in your institution.
