The Hamilton County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office is comprised of ten divisions, divided into three main sections: the Criminal Section, the Civil Section, and the Administrative Section.

The Divisions
The Criminal Section is responsible for the prosecution of all crimes occurring in Hamilton County except those misdemeanor offenses committed within the City of Cincinnati. The Criminal Section oversees the Intake/Grand Jury Division, Appellate Division, Felony Trial Division, Juvenile Division, Municipal Division, and Victim/Witness Program.
The Civil Section is responsible for the legal representation of Hamilton County, its elected officials and various personnel in state and federal courts. In addition, the Civil Section oversees the operation of the Environmental Division, Family Law – Children’s Services Division, and Family Law Division.
The Administrative Section coordinates and facilitates all administrative, budgetary, financial, purchasing, human resources and benefits needs for the Prosecutor’s Office. In addition, the Administrative Section oversees the Information Systems Division of the Prosecutor’s Office.
