Prosecutor Connie Pillich marks 100 days in Office

On April 15, Hamilton County Prosecutor Connie Pillich marks 100 days in office as the county’s first elected Democrat prosecutor in 92 years and the first elected female prosecutor. She is hard at work on several initiatives that bolster her belief in justice with integrity.

“It is an honor to serve the citizens of Hamilton County,” Pillich said. “This office’s role in the justice system is important. I am making changes that improve the quality of service, provides transparency and delivers justice with integrity for every citizen.”

Increased Training

A long-time prosecutor is working with prosecutors and building a comprehensive program for new hires and continued education.

Implementing Up-to-Date Technology

Pillich approved a contract with Axon Justice, a cloud-based platform that streamlines evidence management, improves case preparation, and enhances collaboration.

Updated Parental Leave Policy

Pillich’s new parental leave policy includes recovery time for new mothers, giving 12 weeks of paid time. Other employee parents get 8 weeks. This attracts and helps retain a talented workforce, particularly among attorneys who have other high-paying options.

Added Expertise to Stadium Lease Negotiation Team

Pillich is dedicated to a fair renegotiation of the Paycor Stadium lease. She hired David Abrams, a national expert of stadium deals, as part of the negotiation team.

Creating a Conviction Integrity Unit

Pillich is creating a Conviction Integrity Unit to identify, review, and correct wrongful convictions or miscarriages of justice. This enhances public trust by promoting transparency and accountability.
