Today, Hamilton County Prosecutor Connie Pillich announced that Cameron Hardy (06/23/2005) has been indicted on a charge stemming from an assault at Mount St. Joseph University that resulted in the victim losing partial vision.
Hardy has been charged with:
● Felonious Assault (F2)
The charges stem from an incident on 1/18/2025, when Hardy allegedly punched the victim during an altercation on the university campus. The unprovoked attack caused significant injuries, including permanent damage to the victim's vision.
Prosecutor Connie Pillich commented:
"This senseless act of violence has left a young person with life-altering injuries. Violence of any kind has no place in our community, especially on our college campuses, where students deserve to feel safe as they pursue their education. My office will work tirelessly to ensure justice is served for the victim."
The victim, whose identity is being withheld for privacy, is receiving ongoing medical treatment.
The case was investigated by the Mount St. Joseph University Police Department and the Delhi Township Police Department. Prosecutor Pillich praised their efforts, stating, "Their diligence in investigating this incident and bringing the suspect to justice demonstrates the strong partnership between law enforcement and the prosecutor's office in ensuring public safety."
