Nee Fong Chin, Chief Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for Hamilton County, spoke on June 10, 2024 in Judge Sandra Beckwith’s courtroom for the Naturalization Ceremony at the new UC College of Law. Beckwith presided over her courtroom for the very first time. Nee Fong Chin shared her family’s history of coming to the United States and what’s been like for her as a 1^st generation American born Chinese. When Nee Fong Chin graduated with her Juris Doctorate, she worked as a Clerk for a judge and then began her work at the Hamilton County Prosecutors Office, making her the first Chinese woman in Cincinnati to practice law. She has now been with the office for 30+ years and is the Environmental Division Chief/Chief Assistant Prosecuting Attorney.
