Today, Hamilton County Prosecutor Connie Pillich announced that Patrick Lyons has been indicted on multiple felony charges following a dangerous confrontation with Cincinnati Police Department officers in the Walnut Hills neighborhood.
Lyons has been charged with:
• Felonious Assault (F1) – 3 counts
The charges stem from an incident on March 2, 2025, when Lyons, armed with a knife, charged at the officers, sprinting towards them. Despite their attempts to de-escalate, officers were forced to respond with force to protect themselves. Two shots were fired, one of which struck Lyons.
The case was investigated by the Cincinnati Police Department’s Homicide Unit. Prosecutor Pillich praised their professionalism:
“The courage and composure demonstrated by the Cincinnati Police officers in the face of such a dangerous encounter is commendable. Their quick action protected not just themselves but the broader community.”
