Today, Hamilton County Prosecutor Joseph T. Deters partnered with the Survive Institute to sponsor a Self-Defense Training for the Hamilton County Prosecutor’s Office. The program will begin at 1:00 p.m. today at the School for Creative & Performing Arts (“SCPA”) – Mayerson Auditorium.
Debbie Garnder founded the Survive Institute in 1981. Debbie and Mike (husband) are two of the most respected experts in the world when it comes to teaching self-defense that works. Their speaking engagements have reached audiences in both the private and public sector throughout the U.S., Canada, South America, New Zealand, Australia and Europe.
The Survive message translates into any area of life where a person needs strategies in self-control in a fearful situation. The training consists of three key areas – Crisis control, Realistic Crime Prevention, and Survive Violence & Weapons Attacks.
Prosecutor Deters commented “I wanted to provide my employees, especially our female staff, a new alternative to their past self-defense training. Debbie & Mike Gardner are retired police officers from our very own Cincinnati Police and Hamilton County Sheriff’s Departments. I thank them for sharing their expertise with my staff.”
