Today, Hamilton County Prosecutor Joseph T. Deters announced that no criminal charges would be filed in Hamilton County against former University of Cincinnati flute professor Bradley Garner.
In early February, the University of Cincinnati forwarded their Title IX investigation to the Hamilton County Prosecutor’s Office for review. That review is now complete and no criminal charges will be filed in Hamilton County.
Prosecutor Deters commented, “I want to thank the University of Cincinnati for their cooperation in this matter.
My office reviewed UC’s Title IX investigation against Bradley Garner. After a thorough review, we determined that no criminal charges can be filed in Hamilton County at this time. The only possible criminal charge occurred in another jurisdiction and we have asked UC to let that student know that she may want to contact the authorities in that jurisdiction.
However, after reviewing the investigation, I remain concerned that there may be additional victims who have not yet come forward and I would urge anyone with information about Garner to contact Karla Phillips, Interim Title IX Coordinator at UC at 513-556-3349 or karla.phillips@uc.edutitleix@uc.edu.”
