Hamilton County Prosecutor Joseph T. Deters announces indictment of Allen Summers for terrorist threats against Hamilton County government buildings

Today, Hamilton County Prosecutor Joseph T. Deters announced the indictment of Allen Summers (DOB 1/26/67) for 1 count of Making Terroristic Threats (Felony 3). If convicted of the charge, he faces the possibility of 3 years in prison.


Summers was arrested on July 2nd by the Florence KY police department for 1 count of Terroristic Threatening ( KY Misdemeanor 3) for Facebook posts threatening to blow up Hamilton County, OH government buildings.


Summers is now indicted in Hamilton County for threatening to blow up the Justice Center, the Hamilton County Courthouse, and 230 E. Ninth Street which houses both the Hamilton County Prosecutor’s Office and the Hamilton County Public Defender’s Office.


Prosecutor Deters commented, “Our thanks to the Florence KY police department for their quick action in arresting this dangerous man.


We take these threats seriously when someone names specific buildings and discusses how to obtain materials to make bombs.


We are like a family at the courthouse. My only regret is that he is only facing 3 years in prison.”
